We love designer jewellery and think everyone should be able to afford it. Instead, we work closely with world-renowned designers and expert jewellers to create collections that marry beauty, ethics and affordability. Without further ado, here is a closer look at our one of our designer collections.
The Lujia collection is the vision of award-winning jewellery designer, Meng Zhang. Originally from Shanghai, Meng completed her MA in Jewellery Design from elite art institution, Central Saint Martins. She had previously been an award-winning undergraduate at TONJI University of Design and Innovation in China. She has been shortlisted for many prestigious design competitions and has had worked published in BAZAAR Jewellery magazine.
The Lujia collection that Meng created for us was inspired by rivers. Take a look at each piece and you’ll see that clean curved lines are the beautiful motif of this jewellery range, which include rings, bangles, pendants and earrings. The lines that cradle around the finger, the wrist and the ear, or lay gently on the chest, represent river bends, bridges and curled lines of open water.
The shape of Meng’s jewellery is both gentle and striking; plain and bold. You’ll notice that there are no gemstones or diamonds in this collection - a rarity of for Sacet, who is obsessed with the beauty of lab-grown diamonds and ethically sourced gemstones. However, we were so taken back by the pure lines of Meng’s work that we couldn’t resist this collection.
