Just like natural diamonds, lab grown diamonds are real diamonds. Lab grown diamonds share the same optical and chemical characteristics as natural diamonds. These diamonds can be produced using two distinct methods: HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) and CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition).
Since their introduction to the jewelry scene in the mid-2010s, lab-grown diamonds have become popular due to their positive attributes. They present a great alternative to mined diamonds and have gained substantial popularity.

There are no discernible physical, chemical or optical differences between lab grown and natural diamonds. Both diamonds have the same properties like cut, colour, clarity, fire and sparkle. Plus, they are both just as tough as each other too. This means you can rely on a lab-grown diamond to be just as durable and long-lasting as a natural diamond.
Both types of diamonds use carbon as their main element, but lab-grown diamonds lack nitrogen which is how gemologists can identify the two. When purchasing diamonds, the easiest way to check whether it’s lab-grown or natural is to check the diamond’s certificate.
